    The Human Resource Intern performs HR-related duties and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. This is a part time role that works a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, Utah.

    WHAT IS A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HR BUSINESS PARTNER INTERN?

    • Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters
    • Update company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details
    • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for organization personnel
    • Assist the HR team with filing, data entry, office organization, and procedural implementation
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
    • Prepare HR-related reports as needed

    WHAT WILL I NEED TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE?

    • Must be a senior in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of driving results
    • Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and HRIS systems
    • Proven ability to multitask
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of benefits programs
    • Experience with onboarding new employees
    • Strong understanding of HR law and its application
    • Familiarity with sourcing and recruiting processes
    • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
    • Experience with Workday preferred

    WHAT IS MY POTENTIAL FOR CAREER GROWTH?

    • This role will introduce you to Human Resources and help you develop skills in partner relationships, data analysis, presentation, and ecommerce acceleration. Upon successful completion of this internship, you may be offered a full time position.

    WHAT IS THE TEAM LIKE?

    • You will work with the Human Resources Director and be mentored by the Chief People Officer. You will meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.
