Pattern’s corporate headquarters are in San Francisco.Responsibilities Job Purpose The Origination & Power Marketing team is seeking a summer intern to support the group. The role will work with and have exposure to the origination, business development, and project finance functions across the organization. The intern will gain insight into the sales cycle for long-term power contracts for utility-scale renewable energy projects, from origination to contracting. The role will also give a basic knowledge of the development stages for renewable energy and transmission projects.Work duties include market research, data analysis, financial modeling, proposal writing, and data organization across Pattern’s broad array of North American development projects.Qualifications Key Responsibilities Organize and present actionable insights from Pattern’s clients and partners within Pattern’s CRM Assist the team with sourcing RFP opportunities for Pattern’s diverse set of generation and transmission projects Research and present on new offtake products as they relate to Pattern’s current development portfolio Assist the team with proposal drafting (coordinating across internal teams, performing data analysis and/or data visualization, etc…) Assist lead originators with customer intelligence memos, customer pitch decks, and market reports General support across Origination team Intern specific project, during the internship program, to be identified upon hire. Experience/Qualifications/Education Required Working towards a Bachelor's degree (preferably in a quantitative field) having completed 3 years of course work or 1 year of MBA course work. Familiarity with basic energy concepts as it relates to renewables, such as RECs, renewable portfolio standards (RPS), wholesale energy markets, investment/production tax credits, etc... Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively and fluently. Ability to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork and independent work ethic are essential. Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of data. Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities. Knowledge of spreadsheets and presentation software CRM experience is a plus Preference to complete internship in San Francisco, CA, or Houston, TX Ability to work 10-12 weeks, beginning in May or June 2022 and progam ending in August Pattern Energy Group LP is an equal opportunity employer
