    medical assistant: 1 year (Required)

    EMR systems: 1 year (Required)

    medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

    bilingual (Spanish preferred)

    ECW experienced (Preferred)

    License:

    Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) (Preferred)

    Clinical Duties:

    Greet and prepare patients for examination and treatment by obtaining consent and taking vitals

    Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments & supplies

    Enter patient medical information into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

    Perform basic lab tests and sample analysis

    Assist practitioners with patient examinations and procedures

    Uses proper charting procedure, i.e., noting date, time signature and job title.

    Records and documents all injections and/or immunizations given, including lot #, location and initials orders in accordance with procedure.

    Completes chart prep for assigned provider daily to include review of ASIIS and enter into EMR as appropriate.

    Handles sterile and dirty instruments used in the departments according to instrument processing procedures.

    Keeps exam rooms/procedure rooms stocked/set up according to departmental guidelines.

    Maintains, cleans and calibrates medical equipment to meet quality assurance and infection control guidelines (logs). Reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor; takes equipment out of service.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
