Quality Assurance Team Manager

Serve as a member of the Quality Assurance department, managing a group of QA Coordinators, Analysts, Estimators, and Specialists. Each position completes a unique set of tasks with associated responsibilities and metrics, all focused on accurate and timely claim handling of direct managed repair assignments. Management includes but is not limited to timecard approvals, expense approvals, onboarding and training of new employees, and performance coaching. Hands-on claim management may be needed during periods of high claim volume. Technical knowledge of software combined with expertise in water mitigation, mold remediation, lead and asbestos abatement, content cleaning, content packing, structure cleaning, and reconstruction will be used to guide a successful QA team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboards and trains new team members, setting new hires up for success in a performance culture
Completes performance coaching and regular Goal Setting & Review Meetings focused on continuous improvement
Facilitates calibration, performance, and general team meetings as needed
Assists direct reports during claim spikes to help with coordination of claims, reviews of mitigation, contents, and reconstruction estimates, and estimating through the FAST Program
Communicates effectively with direct reports, supervisor, franchisees and insurance carrier partners
Provides trend analysis of internal performance to supervisor and participates in problem solving sessions to address gaps
Occasional travel may be required
Complete additional projects as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS
Knowledge of common estimating principles for the insurance industry
Ability to review and write estimates for mitigation, reconstruction, contents, structure, etc.
Ability to successfully hold WTR, ASD, Mold, and other required certifications
Ability to use Microsoft Office, Xactware Products, Symbility, and other estimating platforms
Ability to effectively communicate through both email and the telephone
Ability to manage priorities efficiently
Experience with Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution
Preferred - personnel management and coaching experience
Preferred - Bachelor’s degree or 5 years work experience in claims or related field
