Finance and Billing Specialist
Position Summary

The Finance and Billing Specialist is primarily responsible for processing monthly office billings for Commercial partners, itemizing payments received, analyzing financial opportunities, and reporting to elevate partnerships, and working closely with offices on partner financial inquiries. This role will also assist with office communication to provide billing support and answer other questions, as needed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Process office billings and invoices
Manage electronic payments and process cash receipts
Communicate and correspond with Job Cost Accountants (JCA’s) and Franchise Owners regarding billing questions
Ensure proper billing support is accessible and published online for review
Maintain customer data and distribution lists
Record and post journal entries
Manage the processing and administration of billing and reporting
Document processes and assist with maintenance contract billing files
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and monthly financial packages
Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses and special projects requested by management
Assist with financial and SOX audits
Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Participate and oversee the cash collection process, coordinating with accounting teams
Managing the daily Commercial communication office inquiries
Preparing financial forecasts, budgeting, and reporting
Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in accounting or related field
2-3 plus years’ experience in a billing or accountant role
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Experience processing billing or other AR transactions
2 plus years of Excel experience
Experience within a franchise industry
Experience within the restoration and/or construction industry within an accounting role
Physical Requirement

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 100% of the time
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer
• Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
• Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone
• Occasionally will lift up to 10lbs
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
Work Environment
The employee will be working indoors and may be working remotely in their home office and will be exposed to normal conditions of air conditioning and heat. Most work will be conduct over email, video conferencing, and telephone. The successful person must be productive with minimal supervision.
Travel
This position may require up to 5% travel. This position may require travel for trainings or team meetings.
