A Restoration Estimator efficiently and accurately transfers the scope of work from scope notes or Matterport pictures and measurements to an estimating program. Most often this program is Xactimate though Symbility and others are used as well. A Restoration Estimator enjoys setting and attaining daily goals. An A+ estimator is able to transfer the necessary information by selecting the accurate and appropriate codes within each estimating program keeping in mind Third Party Administrator program requirements as well as Insurance carrier guidelines. Estimates need to be produced in a timely manner and with the detail necessary to create accurate and complete work orders to be completed by other employees once complete. An A+ candidate would have some construction background to enable an understanding of terms and necessary construction steps as well as excelling in computer applications. A prior understanding of Xactimate and Symbility is desired but not required. Prior background in budgets and job costing is also desired as this applicant will be following a job through its construction and aligning budgets to actual expenses throughout the construction process. Communication skills are necessary to ensure the ability to forecast when payments will be needed and to communicate those time frames to the team as well as communicate to customers and the Paul Davis team needed information throughout the life of the construction project.
