    What does an Field Estimator do for Paul Davis?

    Scopes and writes estimates for properties that have sustained fire, water, mold, hail, or wind damage to their property.

    Utilizes technology and software to write the estimates; primarily Xactimate and Symbility

    Make a difference for others that have had a disaster strike their property

    Be empathetic and show a sense of urgency while communicating through modern technology

    Show up everyday, on time, with a positive attitude.

    50% of time is field work; 50% of time in office.

    Annual salary range $65,000-$95,000 based on based on experience and certifications.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities - The Estimator is responsible for preparing scopes and estimates for reconstruction and emergency services. The Estimator’s primary responsibilities are to scope loses, create estimates using estimating software, and secure the project.

    Meet with home and property owners to conduct onsite inspections and scope generation.

    Meet all service standards set forth by the client or the company.

    Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate (as required).

    Work closely with insured and interested parties to obtain agreement and close opportunity.

    Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.

    Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements.

    Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and TPA’s.

    Responsible for being the first contact for homeowners when participating in the on call rotation.

    Responsibility for adhering to the PDO Health & Safety Program.

    Meet Net Promoter Score of minimum monthly average of 60.

    Closing the Loop 100% of the time within 24 hours.

    Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    Knowledge of our main operating systems; RMS and Xactimate

    Customer Service Skills

    Communication skills

    Typing skills

    Administration skills

    Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems

    Ability to create documents

    Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face

    Ability to work office equipment (fax, scanner, printer, phone system, computers)

    Ability to work independently

    Ability to work in a team environment and develop staff

    Ability to coordinate multiple jobs within the same time frame

    Ability to operate our main operating systems

    Required Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience

    Experience with estimating software

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Industry certifications (IICRC and Lead)

    Experience with writing estimates in Xactimate

    Travel

    Local vehicle travel only; up to 50% of time traveling to jobs sites within 45 miles of Lynnwood office.Before You Can Take the Field: We require a drug and background and check. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: The physical environment requires the employee to work all types of both indoor and outdoor conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment, having ability to stand or walk, occasionally bending, squatting, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.
