Mitigation Technician

We currently have an opening for a Mitigation Technician within our North Florida location. The Mitigation Technician is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry. The position is primarily responsible for responding to emergency, property damaging situations. The Technician is accountable for addressing the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism. The Technician is accountable for preserving as much of the property as possible while working safely and efficiently on the job site.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold
Survey damage within the property
o Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property
Cleaning process for both contents and structural damage
Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools
Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
Perform initial site visits
Conduct moisture inspections
Set restoration equipment within guidelines
Complete notes of assigned jobs in our primary operating system (RMS)
Contact the customer of assigned jobs with ETA
Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process
Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment
Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned vehicles with equipment
Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
Responsible for unloading trash in assigned areas
Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the job assigned
Pass IICRC certifications as IICRC classes are offered
Assist in the development of new hires through on the job training

Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, TSheets, Moisture Mapper, and additional systems as requested

Ability to complete work on multiple jobs within the same time frame
Ability to participate in an on call schedule
Ability to work within hazardous environments safely
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Ability to maintain an acceptable Background Check and Motor Vehicle Record Check
Ability to operate a company vehicle safely
Ability to represent the company culture through our Truth, Values, Vision, Mission, and 10 Serving Basics
