IT Support Specialist - Part-Time

Overview: We are looking to add a Part-Time employee to our team. As the IT Support Specialist, you would have very diverse duties and responsibilities and would work out of our Ashburn, VA office.

The ideal candidate for this position will be reliable, outgoing, comfortable talking to people on phone or in the office, inquisitive, and able to work with minimal supervision once trained.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for setting up new desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones; troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading existing workstations and printers

Install and configure software and hardware

Troubleshoot company hardware and software issues

Maintain logs of IT assets

Must Haves:

Candidate must either already have or be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Sciences / Information Technology related line of study OR candidate must have prior work experience performing tasks described above

Good verbal and written communication skills

Previous experience with Office 365 and Windows 10 computers

Previous experience with provisioning company owned IOS devices

Nice to Haves:

Previous troubleshooting of company issued equipment

Hands-on hardware (desktop, laptop, printer, mobile devices) configuration and troubleshooting experience

Experience updating software and Windows PC firmware

Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge

Previous experience with Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, AWS, VBA scripting and MySQL

Job Type: Part-time 2-3 days per week

Schedule: Approximately 10-16 hours per week between 9:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday. All work must be done on site. Flexible hours. Will work around class schedule.

Compensation: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour
