The Job Cost Accountant will primarily be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable are completed for jobs. The Job Cost Accountant will be responsible for invoicing completed jobs and following up with collections. This role will work closely with our Controller and PDO Finance Department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Enter job costs into our main accounting system, Quickbooks
Produce reports from Quickbooks for Management team members
Invoice completed jobs
Reconcile charge accounts for the office
Complete Accounts Payable
Assist with ensuring all payroll information is received by our corporate office
Complete collection calls to clients, vendors, and insurance carriers and mortgage companies
Support the Finance department with administrative assignments
Record all collections calls in our main operating system, RMS
Make notes in our main operating system regarding payments in our main operating system, RMS
Contact Insurance Adjustors to see the status of payment release
Complete accounting reports in reference to collections
Receive and take inquiries calls dealing with collections

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates or higher in Business, Accounting, or related field
Two plus years’ experience in an Accounting role (Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable)
Two plus years’ experience in Collections
Physical Requirement
Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 100% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer.
Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone
