Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Reports to Soft Contents & Textiles Department Manager
Professionally represent the Paul Davis Organization principles of honesty and integrity
Coordinate, clean, steam, press, fold or hang and box all clothing to pre-loss condition for return to customer
Sort, Inspect, Inventory and quality control of all textiles
Iron, press, steam and be able to perform all finishing processes on various types of textiles
Process, wash, dry and fold all textiles
Steam, press and finish textiles
Store, keep track of and organize textiles
Perform pack out and pack backs independent of supervisor
Be able to repair, hand wash and adapt to changing processes within the department
Proficient utilization of applicable cleaning equipment
Be licensed to drive a company vehicle and be eligible for a DOT license
Keep track of stock, chemical levels and equipment and report to supervisor
Show up clean, work clean, clean up after yourself and leave your work area cleaner than when you arrive
Restock supplies
Proactive communication with homeowners, technicians, estimator, management and other PDR team members
Jobsite security and safety
On call responsibilities as determined by management
Catastrophe coverage as determined by management
Position Requirements:
Must speak English fluently
Must read and write in English fluently
Knowledge of & the ability to work around cleaning chemicals, solutions and use of solvents without any adverse reaction/sensitivity
Ability to read, interpret and communicate oral and written instructions
Ability to train & supervise employees
Ability to plan and organize work
Ability to exercise judgment when to act independently and when to refer situations to supervisor
Ability to operate mechanical equipment
Physical Demands:
Lift constantly 5-40 lbs., lift (frequently) 20-100 lbs. May involve significant stand/walk/push/pull
Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling and handling
Ability to work in confined spaces
Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat
Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud from occasional to frequent times.
Exposure to fumes from solvents and chemical solutions
Work Requirements:
7:00am-4:0pm shift with 30 minute lunch Monday-Friday (shifts may vary)
Employee is expected to work overtime, when requested
Employee may be expected to be on call on a rotation basis
Pay: $12-15 per hour depending on experience
