Paul Davis of Worcester County (the “Company”) is seeking a part-time Controller for between 10-15 hours per week. The Company is looking for an outstanding professional to work with all functional areas of the business to define and implement foundational process that improve the financial performance and efficiency of the business. Functional responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining processes within the areas of finance and accounting, project accounting, contracts processing, human resources and general office and facilities management.

This person will be responsible for managing and directing the accounting and finance functions at the direction of a part-time CFO. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The part-time Controller will prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to top management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide strategic insight as to operational improvements through metrics-based analysis
Act as a business partner to other functional areas
Drive accounting and finance initiatives to other functional areas to ensure company’s ability to measure its performance scales with the business
Lead the annual budget process
Manage consistent monthly forecasting of the business
Own monthly, quarterly and annual close process and results
Develop, institute and maintain and strong control internal controls and policies
Institute and run an effective financial managerial reporting process
Continually seek to accelerate means of converting revenues to cash through iterative process improvements
Develop staff
Responsible for the following:
Heavily involved in monthly planning/forecasting processes
Tax planning & filings
Internal and external financial reporting
Cost Accounting, A/P, A/R Payroll & Cash Management
Internal controls
Fixed asset management
