  • Responsibilities

    The Accounting Operations Managers is responsible for oversight of the disbursement teams and functions including travel and expense reimbursements, accounts payable and certain treasury processes.  This role is also responsible for the vendor relations and contract management function and acts as the subject matter expert in all of these areas and the systems that support them.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage Accounts Payable and T&E functions and teams ensuring that best practices are leveraged throughout.
    • Ensure proper accounting treatment for all transactions.  Become a subject matter expert in the GL configuration.  Propose and implement changes to the GL, as needed, to accommodate changes in internal and regulatory requirements.   
    • Work closely with various operational groups including Financial Systems to ensure that financial source documentation flows properly through our systems and is accurate and accessible.
    • As the subject matter expert for Chrome River manage routing rules, business rules and other customizations to continuously adapt the systems to accommodate the needs of the firm.
    • Maximize opportunities to innovate, enhance the user experience and increase efficiencies and functionality in all systems related to the disbursement function.
    • Manage vendor relations function, including the on-boarding process, which includes making contact with prospective vendors, collecting on-boarding information and ensuring that the vendor master is complete and accurate.
    • Responsible for the oversight of Spend Connect, the firm’s contract management system, ensuring that the contract information is properly maintained and updated as needed.
    • Manage electronic payment programs including the American Express P-card program and Chase Quick Pay.
    • Document standard processes, create resource materials and facilitate end-user training as needed.
    • Provide data on supplier spending, and make recommendations for potential savings. 
    • Perform ad-hoc analyses and participate in special projects as needed by management.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, with 5-7 years of experience in an Accounting role
    • Some supervisory experience
