Duties

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and dump trucks to prepare and lay asphalt or concrete surfaces efficiently and safely

Manage crews list for each job site

Manage all aspects of paving (leeboy pavers)

Coordinate with team members to execute paving operations according to project specifications and safety standards

Conduct routine inspections of equipment like paving machines and trucks, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary

Maintain accurate documentation of work progress, equipment usage, and safety checks throughout each shift

Support site cleanup and prepare materials for subsequent phases of construction

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as Leeboy paving machines, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and paving machinery

Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to adhere strictly to OSHA standards

Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues promptly

Prior experience working on paving or concrete projects is highly preferred

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
