Part Time Admissions Specialist/Office Assistant
Part-time Admissions Specialist/Office Assistant Pawnee County Memorial Hospital has an immediate position available for a part-time admissions specialist/office assistant to work approximately 24 hours a week. Serves as the first-point-of- contact for patients, family members and all others who require assistance from Pawnee County Memorial Hospital to begin and complete the admission process. General clerical to include answering phones, processing payments, scanning and faxing. Job Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED • Experience in a Business Office setting / Customer Service preferred • Excellent organizational and customer service skills required • Effective written and verbal communications skills • Must possess computer skills along with the ability to operate fax machines, copiers, multi-line phone system and printers. • Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks • Detail oriented • Ability to maintain confidentiality required Job Responsibilities: • Greet patients in a polite and respectful manner and communicate effectively with them to help complete the admission process. • Sign in patients, verify & update all personal and insurance information. • Performs record maintenance in a compliant and organized manner. • Answers phone calls in a pleasant, confident manner to create a great first impression of our facility. • Performs customer service activities within the department. • Assists HIM with scanning patient information into the electronic health record. • Rotates Saturday schedule in the front office. • Participates in educational programs & in-service meetings as required. • Performs other duties as assigned by managers and/or the administrator.
