DEVOPS ENGINEER

AUSTIN, TX (Must be located in Austin,TX or willing to relocate. No relocation assistance provided)

As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, build, maintain, automate, and integrate cloud tools in our robust and secure application portfolio.This is a hands-on, dynamic, DevOps role, where you'll have the chance to dig deep into our Kubernetes clusters in Google Cloud and take the lead on bringing enhancements, new releases, and process efficiencies to the team for building, deploying, managing, and monitoring our applications.

The DevOps Engineer will be joining a team reporting to the CTO and will be key to enabling self-sufficiency across our DevOps organization by helping design, deploy, and operate our application solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Use your strong programming and scripting skills to build in automation to our application lifecycle of Build, Release, Manage, and Monitor
• Work closely with development teams to integrate native and 3rd party cloud security capabilities into their development practices
• Write and review scripts, templates, interfaces and utility applications to continuously improve functionality
• Develop a DevOps culture by providing knowledge of solutions and expertise within multiple Cloud technologies to the development teams
• Design and implement Cloud service provider native or 3rd party solutions as part of security by design
• Work with our global teams to automate security operations tasks
• Recommend standards and best practices including automation, process efficiencies, and enhanced security for supported areas
• Create and management security test plans for hardware and software
• Management and deployment of firewall configurations
• Management and deployment of all hardware and software security procedures
• Intrusion prevention and detection
• Digital forensics investigation

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
• Significant experience with Linux operating system environments (5-7 YEARS)
• Experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, ARM, AMI (3-5 YEARS)
• Familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes (3-5 YEARS)
• Experience with security tool chains embedded into CI/CD pipelines Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub or GitLab (5-7 YEARS)
• Experience with infrastructure as code through automation platforms such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible (5-7 YEARS)
• Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins (3-5 YEARS)
• Demonstrated scripting ability, including bash and JavaScript libraries (Node.js is a plus) (5-7 YEARS)
• Familiarity with agile software development
• Experience with securing IAAS, PAAS, hybrid, and multi-clouds a plus
