Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Poster to join our team in Rome, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and posting payments while maintaining detailed financial records for our organization.

• Process and post incoming payments from various sources including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments
• Reconcile daily payment transactions and maintain accurate financial records
• Match payments with corresponding remits and claim information
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies
• Update accounts and payment records in Raintree Therapy Manager.
• Generate and distribute payment reports as needed
• Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure accurate payment processing
• Maintain organized documentation for audit purposes
• Follow established procedures for payment processing and record-keeping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in payment posting or accounts receivable preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail (must)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Demonstrated accuracy in handling numerical data
• Experience with electronic payment systems and clearing house.
• Waystar and Availity experience a plus
