    Location: Bergen County, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

    A respected regional law firm is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join its New Jersey office. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and the administration of employee benefits while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced working hands-on in ADP Workforce Now.

    Key Responsibilities

    Payroll Processing

    • Manage end-to-end payroll using ADP Workforce Now

    • Verify timecards, overtime, leave accruals, and payroll data

    • Process garnishments, deductions, and wage assignments

    • Support W-2 preparation, payroll tax reconciliations, and year-end activities

    • Reconcile payroll accounts and partner with Finance on general ledger postings

    Benefits Administration

    • Administer benefit enrollments, changes, and employee support

    • Review monthly premium statements and maintain carrier relationships

    • Provide benefits guidance and onboarding support to employees

    Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure payroll and benefits compliance with all regulations

    • Maintain accurate payroll records and system updates

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 2+ years of dedicated payroll processing experience

    • Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    • Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage/hour compliance

    • Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality

    Preferred

    • Multi-state payroll experience

    • Understanding of general ledger accounting

    • Payroll certification (FPC or CPP)

    • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment

    $60,000-$60,000 per year
