    Job Summary:

    The Payroll Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This includes collecting timesheets, verifying employee hours and earnings, calculating wages and deductions, and issuing paychecks. The Payroll Clerk also helps maintain payroll records and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process payroll for employees on a weekly basis.
    • Collect and verify timesheets and work hours.
    • Calculate earnings, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., taxes, benefits).
    • Enter payroll data into payroll systems accurately and efficiently.
    • Maintain and update employee payroll records.
    • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and pay stubs.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies.
    • Assist with audits and ensure payroll compliance with relevant laws.
    • Coordinate with HR and accounting departments on payroll-related matters.
    • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and payroll regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
