A global professional services firm seeks a Payroll Coordinator to join their dynamic team.
This role will be responsible for processing the monthly Partner Draw distribution while working with the wider Global Finance department including Equity Accounting, Global Tax, Well-Being & Benefits, Global Retirement Benefits, Treasury, and Accounts Payable, while managing day-to-day activities for all Partner Draw related processes including, but not limited to: preparing and reviewing Partner deduction related proforma billing statements for accuracy, entering currency exchange rates, running calculations in Equity Accounting and Draw systems, compiling currency estimate reports to facilitate currency buys, collecting and maintaining Partner banking data, reviewing individual Partner year-end summary statements, and assisting with administrative tasks to support the monthly draw process.. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact with Partners for all Partner Draw related matters including, but not limited to: confirming bank information, communicating with Partner when monthly tax and/or deductions exceed gross draw payable, replying to all e-mails, and providing succinct and detailed explanation for any questions pertaining to the Draw statement
- Tracking and preparing various calculations, billings, and payments related to retired Partners, including, but not limited to: Of Counsel worked-time payments, capital payouts, and tax and benefits collections
- Working closely with Equity Accounting to assist with monthly reconciliation of deduction upload process from Equity 3E to Partner Draw system, while conducting monthly Partner Draw calculation and validation to ensure Partner payments are processed accurately
- Assisting and preparing month-end close journal entries to accurately report Firm expenses related to Partner Draw
- Updating, modifying, and testing existing Partner Draw and other financial reporting software and proposing innovative solutions to problems
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that firm retains.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of bookkeeping procedures such as posting, balancing, debits and credits, and journal entries
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Possess the ability to perform mathematical functions such as calculating ratios, and knowledge of excel macros and formulas
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, preferably
- A minimum of six (6) years’ relevant experience at a global multi-office law firm, accounting firm, or other professional services organization
- Experience working with partnership financials, billing, and cash management, preferably
- Experience with Elite 3E or comparable accounts payable software application, preferably
- Experience with Institutional finance and accounting systems, preferably
