Strategic Leadership & Team Development
- Build and inspire a talented payroll team through coaching, development, and performance excellence

Complex Payroll Mastery
- Navigate the intricacies of multi-state payroll processing for diverse employee populations
- Master the nuances of specialized wage requirements and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
- Ensure flawless execution of earnings calculations, deductions, benefits administration, and project cost allocations
Compliance & Reporting Excellence
- Safeguard organizational compliance through expert management of federal, state, and local tax obligations
- Deliver precise certified payroll reporting that meets stringent regulatory standards
- Maintain meticulous documentation for seamless audit readiness
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as the trusted payroll expert, collaborating seamlessly with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams

Your Background
Essential Experience
- 7+ years of progressive payroll expertise with at least 3 years leading teams
- Proven success in specialized industry environments with complex payroll requirements
- Deep knowledge of multi-state tax compliance and specialized wage reporting
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise payroll systems (experience with construction/project-based ERPs a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Standout Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Professional certifications (CPP or FPC) highly valued
- Experience with project-based cost accounting and specialized contract interpretation
