    As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance while maintaining confidentiality and supporting employees across the organization.

    What You’ll Do

    As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll:

    • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
    • Import new hires from HR systems and update payroll records for pay changes, tax exemptions, direct deposit, and 401(k) deferrals.
    • Execute time and attendance processing and integrate with payroll systems.
    • Manage wage garnishments and ensure compliance.
    • Assist employees with ESS login issues and maintain timekeeping system access.
    • Prepare year-end reporting (W-2, 1095) and reconcile payroll quarterly and annually.
    • Submit HSA and dependent care contributions.
    • Stay current on wage taxation and state/federal wage laws.
    • Support payroll setup for acquisitions and respond promptly to employee inquiries.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of all payroll data.

     

    What You’ll Need

    • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience; multi-state experience preferred.
    • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently with urgency and accuracy.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • High integrity, initiative, and adaptability.
