    About the Role

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll for temporary employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data, and has strong communication and customer-service skills.


    Responsibilities

    • Process weekly payroll for temporary associates and internal employees accurately and on schedule

    • Review and enter timesheets, verifying hours, pay rates, approvals, and job assignments

    • Set up and maintain employee direct deposit information, tax forms, wage garnishments, and other payroll deductions

    • Maintain accurate employee records within the payroll/HRIS system

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws

    • Communicate with recruiters, managers, and employees to resolve payroll discrepancies or missing information

    • Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed

    • Collaborate with accounting and HR to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and record-keeping

    • Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding paycheck questions and payroll policies

    • Support special projects and process improvements within the payroll department


    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of payroll experience (staffing agency payroll experience preferred but not required)

    • Knowledge of payroll laws, wage amp; hour regulations, and tax requirements

    • Experience using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, PrismHR, Avionté, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar)

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

    • High level of confidentiality and professionalism

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and general office software
