Payroll Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: 50-80K (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while partnering with HR and Accounting to maintain accurate records and resolve payroll inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll
• Review timecards, wage rates, deductions, and benefit withholdings
• Ensure payroll tax compliance and support filings
• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, and garnishments
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and month-end close

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of payroll experience
• Multi-state and high-volume payroll preferred
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and compliance
• Experience with systems such as ADP, UKG, or Paychex
• Proficient in Excel
