    The Workday Payroll Sr Analyst is responsible for day-to-day Payroll and Time & Attendance analysis and implementation for RSM owners and employees. The person in this role will serve as a subject matter expert for the Workday Payroll module, providing HCM system administration and support, configurations, enhancement, and deployment efforts. This position supports the multi-state and global payroll and reporting functions including payroll processing, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, proper reporting to the finance groups, internal controls, and system review. This person will collaborate daily with key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute solutions in Workday. The person in this role will also be a thought partner with our COE leadership, their Talent Technology peers and the larger Talent community to achieve our strategic priorities of enhancing our Talent Technology offerings and experience.

    Essential Duties:

    • Provide Workday Payroll subject matter expertise for day-to-day payroll analysis, reconciliation, implementation, and processing. Cross train team to understand the execution of routine tasks to support as needed.
    • Strong working knowledge of payroll, wage and hour laws, department operations to communicate payroll wage and tax information, payroll procedures and payroll system functionality to all levels of employees. Maintains a thorough understanding of the entire payroll cycle and payroll check list/tasks to ensure payments and processes are completed accurately and timely.
    • Assist the payroll team in researching inquiries from all levels of employees and owners. Provide professional customer service and keeps customers informed with frequent call-backs and updates on pending issues until resolution is completed.
    • Provide subject matter expertise for Workday best practices and partner with COE(s) to understand pain points, prioritize requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes, and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionality. Collaborate with internal partners and leadership to discuss issues, policies, procedures, and process improvements.
    • Participate in the testing and implementation of payroll systems including modifications, upgrades and tax updates. Manages payroll system setup including earnings, deductions, taxes, new programs, general ledger, and troubleshooting in Workday.
    • Ability to write workday reports on the payroll modules, to troubleshoot issues real time.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • CPP-Certified Payroll Professional preferred.

    TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

    • Proven Workday functional expertise required
    • Advanced Excel skills required
    • Proficient understanding of payroll process controls, financial compliance, and regulations

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3+ years of payroll experience at a multi-state company required
    • Global payroll experience preferred
    • 2+ years of Workday payroll experience required; preferred experience supporting a mid to large-sized business
