    Payson Park United Church of Christ is looking for a Nursery Coordinator to assist during its Sunday morning services and programs. The timeframe would be from 10am until approximately 12 noon on Sundays from September through June, and 9am until approximately 11 am on Sundays during the summer - subject to flexibility. There are also occasional Sunday afternoon events, and other family events throughout the week, where the Coordinator might be asked to be present, and/or to help find people to staff the nursery. The minimum hours per week is two (on Sundays), with additional hours during the week on an as-needed basis. Pay is $75 per Sunday, plus additional compensation if needed at other times. Essential duties: Being present on Sunday mornings (unless scheduled off) Assist with recruiting and scheduling others to help staff the nursery Being knowledgeable about and agreeing to follow our Safe Church Policies Helping maintain the nursery room Recording attendance Staying in communication with the Youth and Community Outreach Pastor for any needs, supply requests, or issues that might arise Be willing to assist with other areas of the Children's program when not required in the nursery Qualifications: The position requires: Being an open, welcoming person who will help children and families feel safe and cared for Being flexible, and adaptable to the needs of the church and the children Being responsible, honest, and dependable Having skills of empathy and encouragement A person who is willing to uphold the values of Payson Park UCC, as an Open and Affirming, inclusive congregation that welcomes all people regardless of race, class, ethnicity, ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation A background check and screening Walking, sitting, standing and lifting or guiding infants and toddlers, bending at the waist, kneeling, and reaching Being able to grasp, to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs. Being compliant with church policies, including up-to-date COVID-19 response guidelines Ideal candidates will: have childcare and/or supervisory experience be able to assist on occasional weekday/weekend evenings
