    Job Description

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, scheduling, file maintenance and support for the front desk.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists with administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
    • Assists with recruiting and screening candidates.
    • Assists with HR support for payroll.
    • Coordinates hiring process, including but not limited to conducting background and reference checks, issuing offer letters, notifying IT to set up equipment, coordinating business cards and other internal communication.
    • Responds to inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Coordinates distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, 401(k) open enrollment, and employee recognition.
    • Coordinates administration of workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
    • Coordinates employee meetings, setting up calls, lunches, scheduling additional meetings.
    • Completes employee verifications and notices.
    • Following up with team members for paperwork completion.
    • Assists with planning company events.
    • Serves as back up for receptionist with answering phones and additional front desk coverage duties.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Human Resources is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
    • Proficient on Microsoft Office.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
    • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
    • Zenefits experience a plus.
