OVERALL ROLE
Effectively manage a variety of strategy and design projects
KEY OBJECTIVES
To build successful long-term client relationships with allocated clients.
To practice effective and profitable business management on each of your projects.
To support New Business efforts on proposal writing and organizing prospective client
meetings.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
External
- Manage a selection 4-5 core clients and creative projects with minimal support from
- Strategic Development Director/Senior Client Manager.
- Develop strong client relationships with your allocated clients.
- Keep client abreast of competitive category movement, to help build the relationship.
Internal
- Manage project from kick-off through completion.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and creative briefs in advance of project work starting.
- Lead creative briefings and creative reviews – providing insight and feedback to ensure all work is on brief.
- Maintain efficient project administration (i.e. on brief, on budget, on time and all documentation is up-to-date on the client server e.g. proposals, estimates, presentations etc.).
- Report project status through contact reports/ activity reports to internal/ external teams.
- Ensure all internal teams are up-to-date on timelines and key deliverables.
- Effectively resource for your projects on a weekly basis with the Head of Resources.
- Develop strong internal relationships (particularly with creative team, Head of Resources, concierge, finance manager).
- Monitor project effectiveness in conjunction with Strategic Development Director/Senior Client Manager and Head of Resources.
Commercial
- Ensure revenue forecast for your client business is accurate on a weekly basis and highlight any issues at the earliest opportunity (prior to the weekly meeting).
- Monitor project spend – resources, expenses and bought-ins – highlight potential overspend to Strategic Development Director/Senior Client Manager.
- Prepare cost estimates and ensure all estimates are approved and all invoices are raised, checked and sent to client on time.
- Budget effectively in conjunction with ECD/SDD.
- Be aware of margin on fees and costs/profitability.
- Help drive farming strategies alongside ECD/SDD.
- Write farming activity plan with ECD/SDD.
- Report on client business to feed into farming activity.
- Help to identify new business opportunities.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Report to the Strategic Development Director.
