Pedalheads Bike Camps is looking for Trail Instructors for our upcoming 2021 Summer Day Camps!  As a bike instructor, you will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. It's active, it's adventurous, it's fun and it's incredibly rewarding.  Training will be provided.

ABOUT PEDALHEADS 

Pedalheads offers bike, swim, and sport programs to families in over 100 cities across Canada and the USA. Our programs are innovative, safe, effective, fun, and challenging so kids can learn how to be confident and independent. PEDALHEADS TRAIL is an introductory program to trail riding and basic mountain biking for kids 4 -12.   

THE JOB IN A NUTSHELL:  

1. Guide campers on trail rides 
2. Actively introduce and teach children designated mountain bike skills 
3. Ensure the health and safety of children at camp 
4. Act as a positive role model and leader at all times 
5. Keep constant communication with parents about their child's progress 
6. Adhere to Pedalheads' teaching standards and safety regulations

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Familiar with basic mountain biking skills, language, and/or culture  
• 17 years of age by Dec. 31, 2021   
• First aid certificate   
• Knowledge of the local trail networks (or willingness to learn)   
• Bike Requirements vary by level  
• Experience and confidence riding green trails and blue-level trails (Levels 2+): gravel and dirt paths for Level 1, single-track dirt and gravel trails with roots and rocks for Levels 2+, small features Levels 3+  
• Comfortable leading and managing a group of up to 10 children with one other instructor   
• Able to work well independently and with others

WAGE:  $ 16.69
