    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Pediatric Dentist to provide part-time, non-personal healthcare services in a clinical setting serving children and adolescents in Albuquerque, NM.

    This is a contract position supporting preventative, diagnostic, restorative, and emergency dental services for pediatric patients, including those with special healthcare needs.

    • Location: Albuquerque, NM

    • Schedule: Part-time, 27 hours per week

    • Hours: Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

    This is a non-personal services contract. The selected provider will function as an independent contractor and maintain full professional judgment in clinical care.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Pediatric Dentist will provide comprehensive pediatric dental services, including: **

    Diagnostic Services

    • Clinical examinations

    • Radiographs

    • Diagnostic models and appropriate testing

    **

    **

    Preventative Services

    • Fluoride treatments

    • Silver diamine fluoride

    • Sealants

    • Space maintenance

    **

    **

    Restorative Services

    • Routine and complex procedures

    • Administration of local anesthesia

    • Nitrous oxide sedation

    • Behavior management techniques

    **

    **

    Emergency Services

    • Trauma care

    • Treatment of dental pain and infections

    • Extractions

    • Pulpotomies and pulpectomies

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Providing specialty pediatric dentistry services and limited general dental care as needed

    • Managing dental anxiety using child-friendly techniques

    • Educating children and families on oral hygiene and nutrition

    • Collaborating within a team-based environment

    • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

    • Documenting all patient encounters in the designated dental practice management system

    • Providing in-service training when appropriate

    • Candidates must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.

    Qualifications

    • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school

    • Completion of an accredited pediatric dental residency program

    • Active, unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state or territory

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Eligible for credentialing and privileging at the facility

    • Resume/CV detailing relevant experience

    • Three written professional references addressing reliability, stability, and suitability for working with children and adolescents
