    About the Role

    As a Pediatric Dentist you will provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic dental care while fostering a welcoming and positive environment to ensure children feel safe and comfortable during visits. You'll use behavior management techniques tailored to young patients, educate families on oral hygiene practices, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about setting children on a path to lifelong oral health.

    What We're Looking For :

    • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.

    • Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program (2-3 years) accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA).

    • Active CA State license, CPR, PALS, and IV certification.

    • Pediatric life support certification (PALS).

    • Availability to work 1-2 Saturdays per month.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform comprehensive dental exams to assess the health of a child's teeth, gums, and mouth, diagnosing issues such as cavities, gum disease, and developmental dental conditions.

    • Provide preventive treatments such as fluoride applications, dental sealants, and cleanings to maintain children's oral health.

    • Develop personalized treatment plans and perform necessary procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, pulpotomies, and other restorative treatments.

    • Perform a wide range of treatments, including crowns and other restorative and preventive procedures.

    • Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices, emphasizing the importance of preventive care and regular dental visits.

    • Collaborate with other dental professionals and staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.

    • Refer patients to specialists or other dental providers as needed to ensure they receive the best possible care.

    • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting exams, treatments, and any relevant observations.

    • Stay current on advancements in pediatric dentistry and implement best practices for optimal patient outcomes.

    • Partner with board-certified anesthesiologists to provide general anesthesia services.

    Skills

    • Strong understanding of pediatric treatment planning and case management.

    • Proficiency in pediatric dental procedures, such as pulpotomies, crowns, space maintainers, and fluoride treatments.

    • Strong behavioral management skills, with the ability to create a comfortable environment for young patients.

    • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, patients, and parents.

    • Ability to work well in a team and provide coaching and support to other staff members when needed.

    • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with both administrative and clinical teams to ensure smooth office operations and high-quality patient care.
