Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients, particularly in an outpatient pediatric clinic. You will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals with patient assessments, ensuring accurate documentation, and delivering exceptional service to enhance the patient experience.
Responsibilities
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulseox.
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
Support the healthcare team in managing patient flow within the clinic or urgent care setting.
Administer medications and immunization as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with coding practices for insurance claims is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as clinics or urgent care facilities.
Proficient in performing vital sign assessments and understanding injection techniques.
