Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. In this position, you will assist patients with their healthcare needs. Responsibilities may include obtaining vital signs, communicating with nurses and doctors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Recording and updating patient medical histories

Measuring and recording vital signs

Performing basic lab tests & EKGs

Preparing patients for examinations and procedures

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Administer vaccines

Perform finger/heel sticks for lab work

Run-in house labs

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to prioritize work flow/tasks; strong decision making and organizational skills

Ability to take direction; reliable with a strong work ethic; detail oriented

Exceptional communication and social skills

Proficient English language skills-speaking, reading writing and understanding

Strong computer skills; experience with electronic health records,

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED

Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification

First aid and CPR certified

Basic computer skills

Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines

Excellent communication and interpersonal spills

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to work with limited supervision
