    About the Role

Kimel Psychological Services (KPS) is seeking a licensed (or license-eligible) psychologist to join our team. This full-time role centers on conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults—many of whom present with developmental disabilities, learning disorders, ADHD, autism, or mood-related challenges. Therapy opportunities may also be available if desired.

As part of our team, you’ll conduct thorough assessments that help families, schools, and providers better understand a child’s strengths and needs. We serve individuals from age 1 through adulthood, though each clinician typically specializes in certain age ranges. Testing generally occurs 1–2 mornings per week, with report writing and scoring completed remotely for flexibility.

    Who We Are

KPS is a woman- and minority-owned practice with a reputation for excellence in evaluating and supporting individuals with developmental and learning differences. We are deeply committed to equity, cultural sensitivity, and high-quality care for diverse communities across the Denver metro area.

    Our specialties include:

    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    • ADHD and executive functioning
    • Learning disabilities (reading, math, writing)
    • Intellectual and developmental disabilities
    • Giftedness and twice-exceptionality
    • Fetal substance exposure
    • Mood and emotional challenges
    • School-related needs (IEPs, 504s, BIPs)

We partner with private pay clients, Medicaid, Medicare, Aetna, Denver Health Medicaid, and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

    What You’ll Do

    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations (ADOS-2, WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WIAT-III, and others)
    • Write clear and timely reports (drafts due within 10 days of testing)
    • Lead parent interviews and feedback sessions
    • Participate in case consultations and team meetings
    • Maintain organized records (electronic and paper)
    • Optionally provide therapy services and/or supervise graduate students

    What We’re Looking For

    • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, School, Neuropsychology, or Educational Psychology
    • Licensed in Colorado (or license-eligible); Medicaid credentialing required
    • Strong background in autism and developmental disability evaluations
    • Knowledge of special education systems (IEPs/504s)
    • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
    • Commitment to culturally responsive care
    • Tech-savvy and comfortable with EHRs
    • Collaborative, reliable, and not currently in private practice

    Bonus skills:

    • Experience assessing adults for developmental disabilities
    • Spanish language proficiency
    • Passion for serving underserved or diverse populations
    • Supervision experience

    What We Offer

    • Salary: $90,000–$115,000 annually (based on experience, caseload, and supervision)
    • Schedule: 1–2 testing days per week (9am–3pm) with flexible writing hours
    • Employment: W-2 status (not contractor)

    Benefits:

    • Health insurance + Simple IRA with company match
    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
    • Short-term disability insurance
    • Continuing education stipend
    • Professional liability coverage
    • License renewal fees (for full-time staff)
    • Full administrative support (billing, credentialing, materials provided)
    • Office space for testing days
    • Supportive team culture with monthly staff events
    • No crisis or on-call work
