Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to children, a strong commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care, while also contributing to our mission of providing a warm and welcoming environment for families.
Pediatric Nurse Responsibilities & Duties
Provide nursing care to pediatric patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing routine treatments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans
Assess and respond to the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of patients and their families
Document patient care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards
Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention, and provide guidance and support to families as needed
Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, and follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease
Pediatric Nurse Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Experience in pediatric nursing or a pediatric healthcare setting.
Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
Familiarity with pediatric-specific medical equipment.
Knowledge of child development and pediatric illnesses.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Valid nursing license in the state of practice
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse
Strong commitment to patient safety, with the ability to identify and address potential hazards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care
