We're looking for a medical assistant to work in our busy health center.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) year experience as a medical assistant in a pediatric primary care medical practice.
Must be familiar with CDC Immunization Schedules (https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/index.html)
CPR certification is required
Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma is required
Ability to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications
Ability to obtain accurate vital signs
Ability to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflow
Knowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures such as, but not limited to audiometry, spirometry, O2 saturation levels, ear lavage
Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling Biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
Knowledge of EMR software (will train)
Bilingual (not required): English/Spanish
