Special Education Teacher
PTS Inc., is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide education-based services for local school districts in Northampton County, PA:
Full-time; hours fall within a normal school day and will vary depending on primary and secondary caseloads
Various grade levels
Opportunities throughout the school year and ESY
Ability to provide instruction based on evolving school service models (i.e., in-person, virtual, hybrid)

Responsibilities:
Provide specialized evidence-based instruction for students with varying levels of need per IEP goals and objectives
Develop, revise, and manage student IEPs and Special Education documentation
Complete progress monitoring and on-going student assessment, making adjustments to teaching strategies as appropriate and based on current research/evidence
Participate in formal evaluation and re-evaluation of students
Communicate regularly with IEP teams, including parent/guardians and applicable school staff
Understand special education legislation, regulations, and procedures
Complete paperwork and documentation as required by state guidelines
Complete other duties as deemed appropriate by the district as applicable to the position and setting
Qualifications:
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree required
PA Special Education certification required
Child Abuse, State, and Federal Clearances
At least one year of teaching experience preferred but will consider a strong new graduate
Strong verbal and written communication and motivational skills
Ability to effectively communicate with, instruct, and work with students, staff and parents
