About the Role:

Xpress Pediatrics in Kensington, MD is looking for a passionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year General pediatric or pediatric urgent care experience to join our dedicated care team. Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive pediatric care including well-child visits, acute illness evaluations, and follow-up appointments

Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions across all age groups from newborns to adolescents

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging as clinically appropriate

Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans

Educate patients and families on health maintenance, preventive care, and disease management

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Requirements:

Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Maryland

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with a focus in Pediatrics or Family Practice

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification preferred

Prior clinical experience in a pediatric setting strongly preferred

BLS/CPR certification required; PALS certification a plus

Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children and their families

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment
