    Job Description

    As a PeerWell Health Business Development Field Specialist, you are key in helping providers connect patients to services across their holistic needs. You will develop business opportunities from prospecting and cold calling medical offices and following up on marketing leads. Once providers join our network, you will nurture the relationship and provide ongoing education about products and services. You will embrace administrative responsibilities, including complete and accurate daily office visit and calling CRM entry; timely expense management, and completion of all required training. You may schedule and participate in informational lunches and dinner programs and conferences. You’ll utilize effective sales techniques to influence targeted physicians, surgeons, hospitals, and clinics. This role requires independent travel throughout California primarily by car but could involve air travel and overnight stays depending on the location. This is a full-time, remote position and can be located anywhere in California. As PeerWell Health succeeds, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career and have a big voice on our small team.

    ABOUT YOU

    • You have at least two years of business to business sales and/or telemarketing experience, preferably in a clinical industry

    • You’ll have flawless followthrough while being flexible in dealing with the changing priorities inherent in a start-up. 

    • Your strong independent work ethic and time management skills will be key in reaching goals and objectives. 

    • You’re a master relationship builder and communicator, with inbound/outbound calls, by email and in-person. You have a high EQ and strong active listening skills.

    • You are goal-oriented, persuasive, results-driven and persistent; but able to handle rejections.

    • You are able to maintain a basic knowledge of company products and services as well as expertise about the healthcare industry as it relates to musculoskeletal information.

    • You are knowledgeable about effective sales and prospecting techniques. Candidates with existing relationships within sports medicine, orthopedics, or emergency medicine are strongly preferred.

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • College degree and 2-4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Proficient computer skills (CRM system, Google Suite, PowerPoint, etc.)

    • The ability to partner/manage external and internal relationships, to achieve results with diverse stakeholders at every level of organizations. 

    • CA DL, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.

    • US-based (no sponsorship) direct hire - no agencies, please. 

    • Trustworthy, and must be able to successfully pass a background check

    • Up to 50% travel making multiple stops during the established workday to communicate with providers. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

    • The ability to learn and understand regulations related to the healthcare industry, complying with all FDA, AMA, PhaRMA, HIPAA, SOC2 regulations and company policies.

    • A passion for helping patients to live without musculoskeletal pain.

    • Bi-lingual or multilingual capability is nice to have.
