We are looking for a Retail Purchasing Coordinator who would purchase scrap precious metals through our jewelry division. You will be working with customers to evaluate the value of their jewelry and other precious metals and negotiating a purchase price from the customer. This is a great opportunity to work in an established well-respected coin and jewelry store and build a career with our business.

The hours for this position are Monday - Saturday from approximately 10:00 am - 3:00 pm (30 hours per week). If the candidate proves to have the ability to add value in other areas of our store, there is an opportunity for additional hours.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the value of a customer's jewelry or precious metals
• Negotiate the purchase price of the item(s)
• Prepare the purchase documents and arrange payment
• Answer inbound telephone calls from customers
• Maintain records and inventory of all jewelry and precious metals in compliance with regulations
• Perform other office tasks

Qualifications:

• We will train but previous experience working with jewelry and precious metals is a plus!!
• Must have a clean background - no criminal history
• Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong attention to detail
• ​Strong organizational skills
• Must have computer experience using software products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
