    Job Description

    PendoTECH is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team! PendoTECH is a rapidly growing business serving the biopharmaceutical industry, supplying laboratory scale process control sensors, monitors, systems and software to a network of global industry leading customers.

    PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

    This position is primarily responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and others to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

    This is an exempt position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Product Management

    • Successfully commercialize new products in the Single Use Sensor and associated electronic monitors Business that delivers high performing in-line sensor products to the biopharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing industries
    • Champion product commercialization through the PDP (product development process)
    • Effectively lead cross functional project teams and meetings
    • Inform the team and upper management of project status
    • Communicate resource requirements to upper management
    • Create and maintain the project schedule through commercialization 
    • Support existing products being sold to the same target industries

    Marketing Communications Plan Development

    • Collaborate with MarCom Associate to develop promotional materials, advertising, product information and web content
    • Maintain and ensure consistency in WW product messaging, positioning, literature and support materials
    • Drive the publication of written journal articles, technical publications, case studies and application pieces
    • Provide support for technical seminars, customer training and education
    • Deliver new product launch information directly to the sales organization 
    • Develop and execute Product Launch Plan and Product Introduction Package
    • Assess new product launch effectiveness
    • Support the sales organization through customer visits and presentations where needed including targeted trade show/conference attendance

    Quality Assurance 

    • Resolve customer complaints 
    • Drive continuous product improvement

    Business Management of Products

    • Track and report sales volumes, revenues, costs, margins and trends
    • Forecast product sales volumes
    • Communicate results on a quarterly basis to appropriate management
    • Provide recommendations and strategic intelligence
    • Champion product cost reduction programs
    • Product rationalization - obsolete inventory management, product line extensions, product roadmap 
    • Assess product line penetration and intercede when necessary with promotional activities

    Competitive product analysis

    • Maintain competitive product information files, including specifications, claims, performance and pricing
    • Provide strategy information to sales organization for addressing competitive sales situations and competitive threats
    • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology, Engineering or related Science field
    • 8+ years of general experience with 5+ years of relevant experience in product management of products targeted to the biopharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing industries
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
    • Proficient in biopharmaceutical applications
    • Excellent management and supervisory skills
    • Ability to work effectively in collaboration as well as independently
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a challenging, fast pace environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high quality products
    • Superior data management and data analysis skills
    • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics
    • High level of initiative, accountability and follow-through
    • Authorized to legally work for any employer in the United States
    • Willingness to submit to any requested background checks
