  • Responsibilities

    The Advanced Markets Specialist/Director provides sales, education and technical support to field and home office personnel in the areas of estate planning, business planning, retirement planning, and key employee planning.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides sales, positioning and technical support to advisers and field leaders regarding estate planning, business planning, retirement planning and key employee planning and other advanced markets concepts
    • Provides telephone consultation, case design and implementation, preparation of client proposals and presentations, and related support services
    • Assists and participates in the development and presentation of advanced markets training for advisers, field leaders, independent broker-dealers, and other field personnel
    • Delivers presentations at field and regional meetings
    • Works with home office associates, field leaders, and advisers to develop and distribute consumable sales and marketing materials, training and reference materials, case studies, articles, and other information and materials related to advanced sales concepts and planning strategies
    • Develops strong internal relationships to understand sales process and gain input and feedback
    • Complies with all company and site policies and procedure
    • Remains current in profession and industry trend
    • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirement
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • ABILITY TO TRAVEL APPROXIMATELY 10%-15% OF THE TIME

    Required Skills

    • Intermediate knowledge of advanced sales concepts and planning strategies
    • Proficient understanding of the sales process
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and delivering engaging presentations
    • Functional research capabilities including use of on-line tools
    • Knowledge and work experience with software applications, including Windows and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement
    • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment

    Required Experience

    • 5-7 years experience financial services industry experience
    • Experience in the areas of estate planning, business planning, retirement planning and key employee planning and other advanced sales concepts and planning strategies

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS

     

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Law degree and member of state bar or CPA required
    • CLU/ChFC designations preferred

    Salary Range - $140,000 - $160,000
