    Position Location: The position may be homebased in MD, DC, VA, or DE as it will require some travel to the Easton, MD office.

    Job Summary: Responsible for the assistance in the administration of human resources policies and procedures for one or more functional areas, including recruiting, new hire orientation, personnel file management, and benefits. Performs a variety of tasks some requiring independent thought and research. A degree of creativity and latitude is required.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Performs administrative tasks to support effective and efficient operations of the human resources department. Protects and maintains the privacy of associate personnel records, including compensation information. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

    • Assist Human Resource Business Partners with all recruiting efforts to include posting open position, screening resumes, and routing resumes to hiring managers.
    • Utilizes internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
    • Works with employment agencies, when needed, to identify and recruit candidates for temporary assignments.
    • May initiate contact with qualified candidates to set up interviews with hiring managers.
    • Prepares communication for applicants, i.e., offer letter, drug tests, background checks, and follow up letters to applicants at the end of the recruiting process
    • Maintains recruitment records for future reference.
    • Update disposition of applicant records for government reporting.
    • Schedule new hire Human Resources Orientation
    • Assist with administrative tasks in HRIS related to staffing changes, i.e., new hires, coach changes, transfers, terminations, resignations, etc.
    • Assist with recognition and rewards program
    • Assist with administration of tuition and certification benefits
    • Answers associates’ questions and addresses their requests referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate human resources staff member(s)
    • Assist with planning and executing company events

    Required Experience

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field, minimum of two years’ experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
