    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The primary responsibilities of this role will be to support the day to day accounting and treasury duties in addition to administrative support for PMAM’s private fund.  By supporting these functions, the position will gain an understanding of accounting concepts and general business functions in addition to an opportunity to build a strong knowledge base of the investment advisory industry.     RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Under supervision from the Controller, the role will apply accounting knowledge to provide assistance in and have direct responsibilities in the completion of: 
      • Journal entries for the investment advisor
      • Quarter and year-end close process
      • Intercompany accounting and support of all related intercompany processes
      • Account reconciliations and analysis
      • Ad-hoc analysis as required
    • Performs treasury functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.
    • Provide assistance in PMAM’s annual external audit by helping to ensure that audit requests are met in a timely manner.
    • Provide assistance in preparation of management and board reporting.
    • Provide assistance in tracking client profitability.
    • Improve processes and controls surrounding financial operations and reporting.
    • Provide assistance with financial projections and budgetary requests.
    • Support administrative functions related to PMAM’s private fund including the annual audit.
    • Provide assistance with vendor and contract management.
    • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
    • Remains current in profession and industry trends.
    • Successfully completes job training requirements.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE 

    • 1-2 years of Accounting experience.

     

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS 

    • Undergraduate degree in accounting is required.
    • CPA designation/MBA or path is a plus.
    • Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
