    POSITION OVERVIEW 

    The Director, Digital Marketing Technology will lead the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of all marketing technology. This role translates the Marketing & Communications team’s vision into technology platforms and tools that enable it to meet business goals and marketing needs, for both corporate marketing and field marketing teams.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Evaluate, build and manage all marketing tools, the resulting technology stack, and supporting team to enable business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing plans and programs. Work in close cooperation with Penn Mutual Information Management & Technology (IM&T) teams
    • Leverage strong understanding of marketing strategy and goals to support corporate and field marketing programs
    • Provide deep understanding of practical applications of marketing automation and the technology required to meet these needs
    • Manage development and enhancements of consumer-facing site (pennmutual.com), a semi-private adviser portal in development, and corporate intranet
    • Ensure effective deployment and use of existing marketing technologies, including SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Hootsuite’s Amplify, and Smart Office. Provide ongoing evaluation of current and future marketing technology platforms
    • Oversee the selection, configuration, operation, and integration of marketing technology applications and investments based on marketing plan
    • Develop and manage training and adoption of marketing tools and technology by headquarters and local field sales offices
    • Document business requirements and expected outcomes and map to appropriate technology through vendor and solution approval process
    • Deploy digital assets for marketing programs and campaigns to meet performance objective and timelines
    • Analyze program and campaign performance data with analytics and reporting and provide actionable insights
    • Support change management during implementation of new marketing technology rollouts
    • Manage a team composed of specialists in omni-channel marketing, program management/deployment, and data analytics
    • Other responsibilities may be assigned

    Required Experience

    • 10-15 years relevant experience
    • Experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Hootsuite’s Amplify, and Smart Office or comparable tools required
    • Proven ability to deliver effective marketing technology solutions for a variety of business lines or field sales offices, deploying core solutions that meet a range of business needs

     

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or related discipline
