OUTREACH SPECIALIST

JOB PURPOSE:

The Outreach specialists is responsible for contacting referrals, creating new referral sources and maintaining relationships with all referrals in order to build up client census for Penn North Recovery Center.

REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Develops, creates and builds a contact/ referral database in assigned territory, increasing referrals by 15 a week.

· Raises public awareness and knowledge base with public and professionals.

· Monitors and evaluates the activities of the competition.

· Monitors admissions/ marketing results by:

· Reporting weekly contacts to supervisor

· Meet monthly objectives

· Enthusiastic, flexible and displays ability to work well with staff at all levels

· Works collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment and be willing to share information with other departments.

· Wear Penn North uniform shirt whenever publicly promoting Penn North.

· Participate in Penn North committees and work groups.

· Attend scheduled staff meetings and calls/zoom meetings

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EQUIPMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

All materials and equipment necessary to perform job functions are provided, etc.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff members, community members, outside agencies, institutions and general public.

· Knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment as implemented at Penn North Recovery Center

· Ability to speak and write effectively.

· Ability to plan and organize work to achieve assignments and the goals of the marketing and admissions team.

· Knowledge of basic hospitality and public relations principles and techniques.

· Must possess valid Driver’s License and a Driving record in good standing with the MVA.

· Preferably, candidate will have prior marketing/outreach experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED required.

· Experience: 1 year of marketing preferred.

· Sobriety: If recovering, one (1) year sobriety.

· Pay Range: $16- $19/hour based on experience
