    $1,500 signing bonus We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, intellectual disability, or drug and alcohol addiction.

    The Peer Support Specialist is a staff member of the Outpatient, TOP and APH Programs and provides additional supportive services to consumers of other PMHC programs, as directed.

    The primary role of this position is to provide social support and increased community integration opportunities to consumers. This position is designed for a person with direct consumer experience who has first-hand knowledge of the recovery process and who has successfully completed the Certified Peer Specialist Training, as authorized by Bucks County Behavioral Health Services.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    ·Provides peer instruction and support in recovery resources, linkages and/or activities of daily living, as defined in individualized service plans.

    ·Provides linkage with and accompanies consumers to community resources and social opportunities, as defined in individualized service plans.

    ·Increases levels of community integration/normalization

    ·Utilizes strengths-based approach and recovery-oriented models of treatment

    ·Conducts individual & group support/education sessions

    ·Maintains consumer focus on personal recovery and strengths

    Requires Certified Peer Support certification and active driver license.
