    Job Description

    As the VCO Manager, you play an integral role in leading the VCO team and providing excellent care to our pet patients and clients across the DFW market. Our team members hold the highest regard for maintaining a healthy, safe, and cohesive work environment. As the VCO Manager, you lead by example to ensure its success and manage all aspects of operations and people management within our growing small animal mobile vaccination practice.  Another key role as the VCO Manager is to grow and foster new business relationships to establish new sites while maintaining the current partnerships in the DFW market. Additional duties center around business/P&L management, HR functions, and instituting/maintaining compliance with policies and procedures that ensure safe and efficient practices in the VCO mobile environment.

    • Have empathy and respect towards pets, clients, and colleagues
    • Be capable of recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating veterinary staff per TX state guidelines
    • Coordinate and schedule weekend teams
    • Oversee inventory management and coordinate local advertising
    • Develop and maintain mobile clinics sites
    • Provide quality assurance by directly overseeing weekend clinics
    • Participate in weekly & monthly management meetings
    • Review, understand, and react to findings in financial reports, budgets, and Profit & Loss statements
    • Enhance Sales – implement promotions, provide specific product/procedure training to team members
    • Exercise strong time management skills, being able to plan, organize and prioritize tasks
    • Maintain a professional representation of Penny Paws Clinics and foster positive relationships with co-workers, clients, and vendors
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Managerial/supervisory experience required (multi-site management experience preferred)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
    • Business Management or related degree with 2 years of management experience required
    • Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred
    • Computer knowledge required; MS Word, Excel, and communication tools such as Instant Messenger and email.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. assisted, sitting and standing for extended time
    • Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation required - regular travel required to outdoor weekend in DFW market (mileage will be reimbursed)
    • Work Schedule: Full-Time, Friday - Tuesday (off Wednesday/Thursday)
    • Working Conditions: Will be required to work from the Grand Prairie Regional Office Friday/Monday/Tuesday and in the field supporting DFW mobile clinics Saturday/Sunday
