Pensa Labs, the creator of benchtop automated wire forming equipment, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering co-op to join their talented, diverse and passionate team. Our manufacturing engineers are hands-on problem solvers that have a passion for fabricating beautiful functionality. If you have the drive and passion for making products, testing results and improving operational efficiency and a desire to work with a group of fun, creative and collaborative individuals, we'd like to meet you.

Candidates must be:

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Knowledgeable of assembly and production processes
• Experienced in 3D CAD software (Fusion 360 preferred, Solidworks also good)
• Able to learn from our team and move projects forward
• A big plus: Experience in CNC programming or coding, Arduino (C++) and electro-mechanics

Tasks will include:

• Engineering research and technical assistance to engineers
• Assembly of equipment, document process and quality control
• Review current engineering program activities to make recommendations for changes/improvement opportunities
• Perform tests to assure quality control, performance and repeatability of results
• Perform other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will demonstrate that they are:

• Organized and are skilled at planning
• Excited about testing, measuring, documenting performance of equipment
• Curious to learn new skills by building with their hands and documenting potential improvements to the workflow
• Are excited to work with others in a multi-disciplinary team
• Have a hands-on approach, comfortable prototyping and working in a workshop including CNC equipment, 3d printers and hand tools
• Are able to communicate their ideas to the team
• Are excited to deliver the next great product experience to the world
