• The People & Culture Generalist provides full-spectrum HR support with a focus on operational excellence, employee experience, and organizational compliance. This role supports the Director of People & Culture in executing day-to-day HR functions, managing key systems, and ensuring employees have timely, accurate, and empathetic support across the employee lifecycle. **
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle Support**
• Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and communication with candidates and hiring managers.
• Manage onboarding logistics: system setup, tech coordination, I-9 verification, background checks orientation scheduling, and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across all HRIS systems.
• Process personnel actions such as promotions, compensation adjustments, and performance-related updates in alignment with internal protocols.
• Manage offboarding processes including exit interviews, checklists, final pay, and system terminations.
HR Operations & Compliance
• Serve as systems administrator for HRIS, benefits, and other HR related systems, including workflow creation, approvals, and data audits.
• Monitor the HR inbox daily, responding to employee inquiries or triaging messages to the appropriate team member in a timely and professional manner.
• Preparation of reports and audits for compliance, grant funding, and leadership decision-making.
• Monitor and document HR policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
• Support the administrative components of employee relations, including documentation, scheduling, and recordkeeping, in coordination with the Director of People & Culture.
• Act as liaison with IT support vendors for onboarding and offboarding.

Culture & Communications
• Support the P&C team in executing employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
• Draft clear and supportive employee communications (Teams messages, email, FAQs).
• Assist in the implementation of HR programs (performance reviews, DEIB initiatives, training logistics). **
Payroll & Benefits Administration**
• Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll reports and labor allocations.
• Serve as point of contact for benefit enrollments, changes, and open enrollment logistics.
• Liaise with benefit brokers and carriers to resolve employee issues as they arise **

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in HR, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources generalist or HR operations role.
• Proficiency in HR systems and platforms, including HRIS (Paycom strongly preferred), benefits administration tools (e.g., Ease), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Collaborative, service-oriented mindset and commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a positive employee experience. Experience working for a mission driven organization or non-profit a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with minimal oversight, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.
• Strong coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support operational efficiency.
• High attention to detail, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices across multiple states is a plus.
Salary Range: $55,000 - 65,000
